Privacy Policy for the Viessmann Facebook Fan Page

We, Viessmann Climate Solutions SE (hereinafter referred to as "Viessmann" or "we") as part of the Viessmann Group are joint controllers with Facebook Ireland Limited for the processing of data through "Page Insights" on our Facebook Fan Page, as defined by Art.  26 GDPR. On the basis of the contract concluded with Facebook Ireland Limited ("Facebook"), Facebook is responsible for the processing of data and in particular is concerned with the safeguarding of transparency obligations and the rights of data subjects (for more details, see:  https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum). Facebook explains how it handles personal data at  https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. We also make reference to this with regard to the additional data processing procedures that occur when visiting our fan page. In accordance with Art.  13 GDPR, Facebook compiles all the relevant information here that is of interest to you in the context of visiting our Fan Page (e.g. information on the rights of data subjects, opt-out options, duration of storage, recipients of the data, including in third countries).

Your activity in relation to our Fan Page is recorded within the framework of the "Page Insights" service (more information can be found at:  https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/information_about_page_insights_data). This personal data is processed on the basis of point (f), Art.  6(1) GDPR. This permission allows the processing of personal data within the scope of the "legitimate interest" of the data controller, unless overridden by your fundamental rights, freedoms or interests. Our legitimate interest is to evaluate usage and improve our Facebook Fan Page. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons which exist in your particular situation and which make data processing inadvisable. All you need to do is send an email to our data protection officer, for example.
